Merle's Apple/Yam Marshmallow Bake

  • 2 Macintosh or Pippin apples — peeled and sliced
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 - 17oz. cans yams — drained
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • cups miniature marshmallows

Toss apples and nuts with brown sugar and cinnamon
Alternate layers of apples and yams in an 1 1/2 qt. Casserole
Dot with margarine
Cover and bake @ 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes
Sprinkle marshmallows over top and broil until lightly brown (approx. 5 min.)
6-8 servings
