Dina's Refrigerator Bread & Butter Pickles

Combine:
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 tsp mustard seed
  • 1 tsp tumeric
  • 1 tsp celery salt

Add to:
  • 4 sliced onions
  • 6 or 7 Armenian or pickling cucumbers, sliced

Let sit on counter for 24 hours, stirring occasionally. Place in jars and refrigerate.

Makes about 2 quarts.
