Mike's Christmas Fudge

Combine the following in large heavy pan over medium heat:

  • 4 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cube melted butter
  • Pinch of salt

Bring to a Boil (About 1/2 hour) while stirring constantly and then cook 4-5 minutes (start timing when the mixture starts to "bubble" around the corners of the pan).

Continue to stir constantly. "Soft-Ball" stage.

Remove from heat.

Add the following to sugar mixture and beat well:


  • 4 1/2 ounce Hershey bar (broken into small pieces)
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips (semi­sweet)
  • 1 1/2 (7 oz.) jars marshmallow creme

Add: 2 cups walnuts

Pour into two-buttered 8" square glass dishes or one-large, buttered 10x16 glass dish

Cool at least 36 hours or until it doesn't fall out or slosh around in pan.

Eat!
